The Manhole

What inspired my story was my route to work, I’m always amongst tourists trying to maneuver my way around them to try and make it to work on time. I chose to expand on this because it was just a piece of my life that I had to deal with everyday, alongside the fear of being late for something.

When writing this story, I struggled with making the plot engaging and with creating an ending that I felt was sufficient. I played around with different aspects with my life and stuck to one I enjoyed the most.

I hope the audience takes away the feeling of patience when reading the story, that speed is not always the best thing when handling a situation. Sometimes all you really need is some patience in order to reach your goal.
